Devonshire Red

The Devonshire Red is everything a chicken should be. A lively, robust and slow growing breed reared only on West Country family-run farms in three high welfare systems.

The Devonshire Red breed is exclusive to Devon-based poultry company Lloyd Maunder Ltd. The company was the first to pioneer free range chicken for the retail market in 1996 and then, in 2000, was awarded the first licence to produce organic chicken under the Soil Association symbol.

This all new web site was built to interact with another new web site currently being built for Lloyd Maunder and due to launch in January. Many of the features are shared to avoid having to duplicate information on both sites.

In addition, this is the first site which uses the brand new 2008 version of our CMS (Content Management System). This CMS allows Lloyd Maunder to completely control all areas of the site, move entire sections, add new, edit or delete pages, choose from a range of specially written templates and control various search engine specific features.
